The foundation for the creation of our association was laid on the initiative of some Bosniaks in September 2009 with the idea of creating an organization that would promote intercultural contacts between Bosniaks and other cultures in the Styria area. At the first general meeting, an idea and a will became the “Association of Bosniaks Styria”.
This place should offer Bosniaks an opportunity to cultivate their religion, culture and tradition and to save the role of Bosniaks in Austrian and Bosnian cultural history from oblivion. Multilingualism and cosmopolitanism are recipes with which Bosniaks can build a beautiful home all over the world. The Styrian capital Graz has been both a historical and cultural hub for Bosniaks for over a century.
The well-known 'Bosnian Hospitality' is an always invitation from our cultural community to every reader to pay a visit to the association. The community always appears with Friday prayers and occasionally with sporting and cultural events, as well as through activities of the women's association.
